FlexSand Action Advantages over Crumb Rubber Infill FlexSand® Action elastomer coated infill outperforms crumb rubber and sand in a number of important areas: Ultra-low abrasive index — the smooth elastomer coating causes far less skin and eye irritation. Won’t cling to skin or uniforms — FlexSand Action has no static charge, making it far less likely to irritate wounds and abrasions, or to be carried away from the field under static charge. Absorbs shock — Independently tested in both North America and Europe, FlexSand Action exceeds the ASTM sub-committee new installation and field in use GMax guidelines for shock absorption, and has received UEFA Certification using certain specific construction methods. UV resistant — Unlike rubber, FlexSand Action won’t lose elasticity when exposed to sunlight, and continues to be shock absorbent after exposure to the elements.
